Spirited Away Concept Art Research

I love the concept art of spirited away, the film and story has aspects of steampunk influences from the style of the traditional boiler house, I think development of my characters is going to be so important, so I've really pushed myself to create pages of just variations of my characters. The scenery and setting of spirited away is fantastic, there is so much more colour in comparison to classic steampunk imagery, here's some of the concept art. I love how with these images it's quicker linework and a bit of paint to gage what the colours/style might be.
