I originally came across Jon Burgerman via this book: Pens are my
Friends, it shows of Burgermans extensive amount of work using pens to
create his artwork.
What's really refreshing is that he doesnt just use flat pages, some of
his work is putting pen to 3D objects, he's a great illustrator to look
at for this brief, as it's all about designing something on a 3D object.
The work he does do on canvas and sketch books etc have some fantastic
colour palettes, they're either really colourful or more thought about
i.e. 3 different colours used throughout his designs.
Over the next few days I'm going to practice putting designs onto object just so I can start getting a feel for how a design will wrap around curves/corners etc.
