Hansel and Gretel exploring fonts

Having looked through some iconic texts, I thought a good place to start would be the Brothers Grimm fairytales, it has the fantasy and alternative element I'd like for my text, then Hansel and Gretel was just ideal, I loved the story as a kid so thought it would be a great place to start with my lettering and choosing small pieces of writing from the story.

Some which stood out to me were:

'when they came nearer they saw that the house was built of bread, and roofed with cakes; and the window was of transparent sugar.'

'The witch's eyes were red'

'Grethel ran away, and left the wicked which to burn miserably.'

'Duck, duck here we stand, Hansel and Grethel, on the land, Stepping-stone and bridge we lack, carry us over on your nice white back.'
